POV: fangirling purposefully

I can’t believe it’s been half a decade since I started getting into k-pop! What do you mean 2019 was 5 years ago?! Looking back, I can’t help but praise God how He turned something that can be seen as trivial by some (side-eyeing y’all, for real) into a meaningful journey filled with blessings, heartbreaks, dreaming anew, fan wars, warmth, and everything in between. Not that I engage in fan wars, lol. But if you’re a fellow k-pop stan, you’ll get what I mean.

Read about my fan girl beginnings here.

From sleepless nights consuming content on Youtube to making genuine connections virtually and in person, God transformed the way I see k-pop. I even have GDMs (group chats in stan Twitter lingo) where I get to gush about my biases with other fan girls. It has also evolved into a business venture!

It’s thanks to k-pop that my fanmade merch is now being sold in Indonesia! A who would’ve thought breakthrough! God did that!! He’s at work in my Twitter algorithms, I’m telling y’all! One of my tweets gained attention from Indonesian carats and I think that’s how the organizers found me.

A lot of my Tiktoks that went semi-viral are k-pop content, specifically for SEVENTEEN! The most recent one being a prayer for the concert they held in Bulacan last January 13 and 14. The Lord is just so good and faithful in reminding me of His purpose—to enjoy Him, and to make Him known. His sovereign hand is at work!

I also designed magnetic bookmarks inspired by SEVENTEEN (which I gave away on day 1 of their Follow concert tour) and I produced my first ever tote bag in celebration of GOT7’s tenth year anniversary. It was received well by carats and ahgases! God is so good. (T^T)

I’m just so sooo grateful that He allowed me to thrive within this community. I am expectant that He’s only getting started!
New k-pop inspired stationery and merch are in the works, and art workshops too!
