circle of encouragement

A pastor once told me that I have a gift of encouragement. Since then, I try to find ways to encourage people with my words. A way I’ve done this in my creative business is I always write notes for my buyers and patrons—gentle reminders, scriptures, and prayers.

I remember the first time someone sent their feedback saying my note really cheered them up. It was the first of many affirmations that God letting me use my gift well! That was from 2021 and just last week I got overwhelmed from reading feedback from ahgases (GOT7’s fandom name) about my special merch collection.

I’m getting teary-eyed rereading this. It’s truly a circle of encouragement… from Unka Glen, who told me I have a gift of encouragement… To these strangers letting me know that they’ve been blessed by that gift.

This is a demonstration of Proverbs 11:25 in real time!

I started writing this blog entry last February 28, the day GOT7’s Jay B flew to Manila for his solo concert. Saved it as a draft because it was getting late.

Little did I know that I’m going to add more to this…because my ultimate bias, Lim Jaebeom…would wear my t-shirt design for his soundcheck on concert d-day. It’s been a week since it happened, but I still can’t believe it. I’m even getting teary-eyed as I type this!

A few nights before his concert weekend, I cried tears of surrender. I really wanted to go to his concert but I’ve been keeping myself from spending on k-pop since September. By God’s grace, I am still able to honor that.

It was a shoot-for-the-moon moment when I handed over a shirt to my friend who would then give it to the fanbase in charge of gifts for Jay B. I also asked for prayers from my mutuals on Twitter and friends who know how much I love GOT7! I did all of that, but I wasn’t expecting it to happen for real… Needless to say, I am overwhelmed by God’s favor!

He made a fan girl and an artist’s dream come true on March 2, 2025.

It’s amazing how I started writing this just to talk about encouragements and how it’ll always finds its way back to you… and here I am with yet another encouragement—God is in the business of the impossible! And He often starts with that.

Since he wore this shirt, I’ve sold out all the shirts onhand, and I’ve opened pre-order! Even ahgases from Malaysia, China, and Thailand have ordered. The tee was even mentioned in an article written about the concert in a major newspaper!

God is sooooo good!

I believe He’s only getting started! Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to You I cling!

Thank you so much to everyone’s support for this merch coll. You are all tangible evidence of God’s faithfulness in my life.
