a visual ode for a mother
I had the privilege of creating a logo for a coffee shop called “Te Amo.”
The name itself already feels heartwarming, but even more so when they told me they wanted their visual identity to be a tribute to their inspiration—their mom.
logo work from the first half of 2022
Check out the logos I worked on for the first half of the year! Thank You Lord for Your provision!
lessons from advertising
My experience in advertising built my creative backbone. Here are the lessons from advertising I took with me.
strategic pauses
Ahh, it’s been a while since I wrote anything here! I’ve had a couple of topics in my drafts but I didn’t have to grit to keep typing… I’m still working on that grit thing but I wanted to talk about something else. Pausing.
A temporary stop in action or speech.
a writer’s creative stamp
I met Katie Davis through a tweet saying she’s looking for a logo designer...and the rest, as they say, is history! So grateful for her and for the logo design projects we got to work on together.
Read on to see a glimpse of my process in designing logos, while Katie also gave some of her perspective as a client on how logo design can be beneficial for your personal brand and business.
no unread message in His inbox
As someone who regards an inbox with zero unread messages as an achievement…I am so happy to see this I had to take a screenshot!
2021: the year I resolved
God gave me a word that became a compass in making career decisions, in accepting things that were out of my control, in navigating through relationships, and more.
I was reading the first chapter of Daniel when the Holy Spirit highlighted this word—resolve.
why I take art breaks
Deadlines were piling up, and no sign of a downtime is showing up on the horizons of this career path I'm in. So I did what I've always done years before whenever I'm overwhelmed—I took an art break.
love and light
Last June, an EP by Rhea Rodriguez was released and it got me recounting the Lord’s faithfulness because it’s been a long-time dream of mind to work on an album art project. Exactly 2 months later, I would get a message for an opportunity to design another one for Joselle Feliciano’s new song under Reverb Worship PH!
game-changing gratitude
One of my earliest memories as a child is throwing a tantrum because I my parents won't allow me to do something I want to do. I don't remember what that was but I remember stomping my feet, crying with my mouth wide open.
